Emir Khan was built as part of the Orhan Complex by Orhan Gazi after the conquest of Bursa. It was the first khan of the Ottoman Empire. It was built to bring profit to the complex. The traders stayed at the khan when they came to the city.
The bazaar is located in the Heykel district (the center of Bursa), next to Ulu Cami (Grand Mosque). It has 74 rooms and a courtyard. It is still an active trade center in Bursa today.
